OddGrooves Four/Four Drumming
We have had LOTS of requests for more common style grooves by people who love Magnus Brandell's drumming but aren't quite ready for the odd stuff yet. As a result, the next OddGrooves pack will be a collection of 4/4 grooves, tentatively named OddGrooves Four/Four. It will contain the following elements:
Polyrhythms: 4/4 grooves and fills with triple, quintuple, septuple or nonuple feel
Odd to Even: Groupings of odd meter grooves that add up to 4/4 after a couple of bars. Examples of this are 9/8+7/8, 3/8+5/8, 5/8+5/8+6/8 etc
Straight Grooves: Nothing really odd here, just well-played grooves suitable for progressive rock, fusion and other advanced styles.
The Four/Four pack will be available later in the summer 2008.

Grooves inspired by the crazy "Ican'tsitstill" fonk drumming of the 60's and 70's. Popcorn!
OddGrooves Star Series
Star Series is a concept that involves drum performances with a strong resemblance to well-known songs and albums, in the style of famous drummers, slightly modified to navigate around the unfriendly jungle of copyright law. Seriously, who wouldn't want to have Col Phillins or Bull Briford play on their prog tunes?
OddGrooves Guitars, Bass & Keys
Why should drummers have all the fun? We are planning to release a library of riffs, chord progressions and basslines in (yes, you are correct) odd time signatures, so that those drum grooves won't feel alone on your hard drive. OddGrooves CEO Per Ulfhielm is extremely excited by this, as it means that he too will get to play some music, in addition to all that boring stuff that he normally keeps himself busy with. Just look at him!
